LONDON, UK. 2nd December 2003 – Hyperion (Nasdaq: HYSL), the global leader in Business Performance Management software, today announced that it has been named a finalist in the prestigious Information Management (IM) Awards 2003 for the most innovative and successful project involving the application of business intelligence technology.
The Information Management Awards 2003 (http://www.elanconf.co.uk/im2003/index.php)
are the premier industry recognition of excellence and innovation in the management of business information. The primary criteria for judging were the delivery of significant and definable business benefits, together with the innovation and originality of the application.
According to Neil Vincent, Global Financial Planning and Analysis Manager: “The ICAP Management Reporting and Information Analysis Project, based around Hyperion Business Performance Management software, was designed to streamline the financial management reporting cycle for both management and statutory purposes as well as provide a unified information analysis platform for ICAP’s 24 offices globally. Reducing the production of management accounts by three days every month and providing consistent analysis of data has resulted in better informed business decisions. There has in addition been a significant reduction in the amount of clerical activity undertaken by professionally qualified staff and this, allied to the elimination of the duplication of effort in different regions, has led to staff being able to provide more considered analysis.”
The Awards dinner and presentation will be held on 4 December, 2003, in The Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London
