Foundations laid for continued growth in 2004
London, January 7, 2004 - Attenda, Europe's leading specialist in operating enterprise and internet applications, has achieved another phenomenally successful year in 2003. With Monthly Recurring Revenue growing by over 50% during the year, the company is poised for even more success in 2004. By the end of the year Attenda was responsible for managing nearly 500 servers across its data centres in the UK and Germany. Perhaps the highest accolade comes from clients: December 2003’s Client satisfaction survey saw 100% of clients prepared to recommend Attenda to peers in their industry.
One of the many highlights of the year was Attenda’s inclusion in the Sunday Times ARM TechTrack 100 annual league table of fastest growing technology companies. Even more significant is the fact that Attenda is one of only seven companies to have made the list for three successive years.
The appointment of Maurice Abell, as non-executive chairman added considerable strength to Attenda’s management team. Abell is a former chairman of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young UK and member of its Global Strategy Team. Abell joined privately held Attenda to take on a significant strategic role.
2003 also saw Attenda partner with Sun and achieve SunTone Certification. The partnership has proved to be highly effective, resulting in the acquisition of new clients including Avis, Xbridge and Hutchison 3G as well as Sun Microsystems themselves.
During the past year, Attenda also continued to place high importance on our investment in people: 50% of professional staff have gained certification in ITIL Service Delivery, and 95% hold individual qualifications from either Microsoft or Sun. Our commitment to security was also underlined through the renewal of BS7799 certification and a burgeoning relationship with Symantec.
Attenda clients were quick to take advantage of new market-leading services for assessment and ongoing protection of custom Web applications. Attenda’s leadership in this space provides the basis for a bright 2004 given the growing threat of application level security threats such as those which afflicted many organisations at the end of 2003.
In 2004, the focus will be on achieving even higher levels of efficiency using the unique Attenda M.O. platform. Thus, clients and future clients will benefit from cost efficiencies and superior levels of availability, performance and security. Neal Gandhi, VP Marketing commented, “Our strategic move towards enterprise infrastructure management complements our traditional Internet hosting offerings. This has provided us with a firm foundation on which to build our future growth and enable us to manage entire server room infrastructures for a growing number of clients. We now manage SAP, Siebel, Peoplesoft and other enterprise application infrastructure on behalf of clients such as Avis, Hiscox Insurance and Harrods. 2003 was a groundbreaking year for Attenda and I know that everyone in the organisation is excited about making 2004 even stronger.”
