7 January 2004 - From January 2004 Edeptive Limited, one of the leading UK content management software companies, is set to offer a ‘green’ discount to companies purchasing its product, edeptiveä. The purpose of the discount is to recognise those companies that not only take the need to reduce CO2 pollution seriously, but also reflects that need in their use of company vehicles.

Andrew Bailey, Managing Director of Edeptive explains: “IT plays an important part in reducing corporate travel through more effective e-commerce, video meetings, extranets and intranets, and edeptiveä content management certainly helps in this area. But we wanted to go one step further in our contribution to the environment and offer potential customers a ‘green’ discount based on the average CO2 emissions of their board of directors’ vehicles.”

The edeptiveädiscount level starts at an average CO2 emission level of 250 grams/kilometre for which there is a 10% discount increasing incrementally as the average emission drops to 200 grams/kilometre for which there is a 20% discount.

Edeptive Limited has a six-year track record during which time it has designed and developed its own software products and proven their capabilities in the marketplace with a growing customer base of well-known companies.

edeptiveä strengths are ease of use by non technical staff, personalisation capabilities, user functionality, seamless integration into existing applications, use with mobile technology, and, most importantly, cost performance.

edeptive™ combines powerful content management with a wide range of ‘plug-in’ Application Modules for the rapid development and deployment of web based solutions for its customers. There are over 15 such modules.

edeptiveä developed web based applications are faster to create, faster to implement and in most cases, far less expensive than alternative solutions. Larger customers generally run edeptiveä in-house, but it is also available through the Company’s own Application Service Provider (ASP) facilities.

Organisations large and small use edeptive software technology for a wide range of applications incorporating Internet, Extranet and Intranet environments. Customers include British Waterways, Bunzl plc, Jersey Telecom, The Chartered Management Institute, Varsity Publications and The Comstore.

The Company HQ is in Chippenham, Wiltshire.
