IDG's InfoWorld Recognizes Web Application Firewall as Best Application Security Product

New York City – January 8, 2004– KaVaDo Inc., the technology leader in Web Application Protection, today announced that InfoWorld magazine has named InterDo 3.0 as the best application security product in its annual ‘Technology of the Year’ awards competition. KaVaDo’s award-winning InterDo 3.0 Web application firewall is designed to automatically and accurately block both known and unknown threats before critical back-end infrastructure is breached. InfoWorld's annual Technology of the Year awards identify significant technologies of the past year that promise to make the greatest impact on enterprise IT strategies, and honor the products that best exemplify the implementation of those technologies. Results appeared in the January 5 edition of InfoWorld and are also available online at:

"This year looks to be brighter for IT -- budgets are thawing and innovation is in the air," said Steve Fox, InfoWorld's editor-in-chief. "Our annual awards highlight the passing year's key IT trends and unveil our Test Center analysts' picks for the most innovative and effective products in 2004."

As a global leader in Web application security, KaVaDo offers an integrated Web application scanner and firewall security suite to protect corporations from potential threats. Based on KaVaDo’s patent-pending Protected-Path™ technology, InterDo enforces a positive security model to prevent attacks on critical Web applications that supply the infrastructure for daily communications and commerce on the Internet. InterDo complements existing security technologies such as firewalls and IDS by extending protection beyond the IT infrastructure to protect applications and their business logic.

“InfoWorld's prestigious Technology of the Year award is proof that we are delivering on our mission of providing comprehensive Web application security," said Yuval Ben-Itzhak, CTO and co-founder of KaVaDo. "Companies are increasingly aware that traditional security measures do not protect Web applications. InterDo 3.0 provides assurance that their applications and data are secure."

InfoWorld selects the Technology of the Year awards by evaluating products reviewed by InfoWorld's Test Center during the previous year. Based on performance and innovation, InfoWorld’s Test Center analysts and editors make the final selections.
