Educational events based on practical real world experiences

London, February 12, 2004 - Attenda, Europe's leading specialist in operating enterprise and Internet applications, has launched a series of seminars aimed at imparting valuable knowledge regarding the changing face of information security. They will cover the latest trends in security across a broad range of topics: from highly technical network security to business risk and security ROI calculations. The events have been organised in conjunction with Symantec and Lodoga.

Designed as high value educational seminars rather than product or service demonstrations, they have gathered considerable interest amongst the IT security community. The first seminar will be held on Wednesday 18th February and will focus on Enterprise Intrusion – Monitoring and Prevention. The presentations will examine Active Threat management including details from the latest Internet Threat Report, Debate will focus on ways of preparing and defending your systems against emerging threats and also how to maximise your return on investment in Intrusion Detection Systems.

In March, the second seminar will focus on the growing application security threats that leave many organisations exposed to hacking attacks and phishing scams. This will be supported by findings from our latest survey. The event will include live demonstrations of conventional hacking techniques and applications hacks. The April seminar will focus on setting up and securing Wireless networks and will be delivered by renowned industry expert, Mark Osborne
