Demonstration Of Video Services At The 3GSM World Congress, Cannes, France, Hall 1, Stand #C24, February 23-26th

WOODBURY, NY, February 19, 2004 ¡V Comverse, a unit of Comverse Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMVT), and the world¡¦s leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication services, today announced the demonstration of new video services designed for users of video-enabled devices including Mobile Video Portal, Video Fun Dial, Videomail and Push to Show. These services along with other services from the Comverse Total Communication Portfolio are being demonstrated at 3GSM World Congress, February 23-26 in Cannes, France at the Comverse booth (Hall 1, stand #C24).

¡§Video adds a whole new dimension to messaging and content services, enabling new varieties of applications,¡¨ commented Benny Einhorn, Chief Marketing Officer at Comverse. ¡§The expanded bandwidth of 3G networks, standards-based video telephony technology and the growing market for video handsets offer operators the opportunity to introduce a variety of video-based communication and content services.¡¨

Video services that are being demonstrated by Comverse include:

Mobile Video Portal
Comverse Mobile Video Portal provides a single access point to a wide range of live and pre-recorded video content and applications. Users can navigate through video menus, choose the content or service of interest and get them immediately on their handset. For example, operators can provide video content that enable subscribers to:

„X Watch live TV broadcasts of important sport events
„X View the real-time traffic situation at major arteries before leaving the house
„X Watch different movie trailers and connect directly to a reservation system to buy tickets

The Comverse Mobile Video Portal runs over the InSight platform and is fully integrated with Comverse Video Fun Dial and Videomail and services from third parties.

Video Fun Dial (Video Ringback Tones)
Callers can view a variety of video content including music videos, celebrity clips, and personal or promotional messages instead of hearing standard no answer, busy, and call waiting tones. Users can assign different content to different callers enabling friends to see highlights of a big game, family members to see a self-created personal message, and business associates to view a promotional message.

Videomail
Comverse Videomail provides users with a video-enabled mailbox to ensure all video calls are answered and all video messages get through even when the called party is busy, out of 3G coverage or otherwise not available. Users can personalize their mailbox with a fun or informative greeting or the latest downloadable celebrity greeting, making the video mailbox a new outlet for self-expression.
Videomail runs on the next-generation InSight platform and is totally integrated with Comverse Voicemail, enabling operators to make a smooth transition from voice and data to video services.

Push to Show (TM)
Push to Show enables real-time video communication for individuals and groups. Push to Show establishes two-way IP video channels with a single click, mimicking walkie-talkie type functionality.
