3GSM World Congress 2003, Cannes France: 24 February 2004: - elata, Europe’s leading content and service delivery software vendor, today announced the launch of the elata ascent™ campaign management system. elata ascent is a new software product from elata, designed to complement the elata senses subscriber management and service delivery software system and enable operators to market targeted mobile content and services to their subscribers. It is also the first end-to-end campaign management system for the rich media mobile content market.

The ARC Group estimate that mobile content services revenues are set to reach $126 billion worldwide by 2008 and account for almost 20% of mobile operator revenues. However, if operators are to maximise this opportunity they will need to target their subscribers with compelling promotional messages and thus increase the uptake of mobile content from their existing subscriber base. elata ascent has been developed specifically to meet these vital industry requirements and is the first campaign management system for operators to proactively promote mobile content.

Using mobile service and subscriber data held within the system, elata ascent enables the operator’s marketing department to plan, design, schedule, launch, measure and control mobile content and service marketing campaigns. With an intuitive web-based interface, operators can identify specific subscriber segments, create a promotional campaign that matches their interests and even select the most effective delivery channels (e.g. SMS, MMS, WAP Push, web or WAP portals). Subscribers can receive content promotions via a message on the browser of their device or when they log on to the operator’s web portal. Furthermore, elata ascent provides data and reporting statistics to measure the effectiveness of the promotion and help develop future campaigns.

For example, the operator may wish to promote the latest action game to all subscribers who are members of the ‘games club’ community proposition category and have a Nokia 3650. With elata ascent, the operator can identify the target segment and device capabilities, and create a personalised message including a picture of the game, a link to the portal where the game can be downloaded and a promotional voucher. Multiple campaigns can be created and run simultaneously for specific periods of time, enabling operators to promote new mobile content as it is launched.
