Intec delivers Inter-mediatE Correlation Manager to ITXC

* ITXC streamlines processing of international VoIP traffic with latest module
* Realises improved service capabilities and greatly enhanced capacity

Atlanta/London, March 4, 2004 – Intec Telecom Systems, a global provider of Operations Support Systems (OSS) for fixed, wireless, and IP/next generation networks, announced today that its Inter-mediatE Correlation Manager has been successfully implemented at ITXC, one of the world’s leading international Voice-over-IP carriers. The use of Correlation Manager within Inter-mediatE is expected to allow ITXC to nearly double its daily CDR processing by year’s end. Inherently scalable, the solution was sized for a ten-fold growth in processing. The implementation of Correlation Manager is an extension to ITXC’s current installation of Intec’s market-leading convergent mediation product, Inter-mediatE.

ITXC exchanges voice traffic with winning carriers and service providers in all corners of the world. Its goal is to provide reliable, rapid and scalable revenue streams from global traffic to terminating carriers and to provide low cost, high quality call completion for global traffic from originating carriers. The carrier’s rapid growth and expanding markets required a solution that would support its increasing service demands.

“Intec offers a proven solution that can handle ITXC’s traffic volumes and complex services. As a company, Intec understands the communications industry, and their products reflect that knowledge. The extended functionality of Inter-mediatE with the Correlation Manager let’s us deliver on our increasing customer commitments by allowing us to capture and bill accurately for network usage,” said Tom Nye, director of IT services at ITXC.

Inter-mediatE gathers, processes, and distributes data from any type of network for any type of usage. The Correlation Manager allows ITXC to accurately and quickly correlate and process the intricate, multi-leg call detail records (CDRs) that comprise a user event or experience.

Fred Brott, President of Intec North America said, “Our customers have come to rely on Intec to supply the technologies and guidance to ensure their success. At ITXC we delivered a solution that streamlined their business, allowing them to deliver better service, faster, with the capacity to support enormous future growth.”

Intec’s Correlation Manager is commercially available as an integrated addition to the Intec Inter-mediatE solution, a high-performance, real-time mediation system used by more than 130 operators worldwide, ranging from US RBOCs to multi-national 3G license holders.
