A stylish new faceplate and outlet design has been unveiled by structured cabling leader Krone this week.

The new style faceplate combines a circular feature to the front and curved corner faces into a geometric design with the standard square edge outline. The result is an aesthetically pleasing and visually attractive new design that will complement office interiors - where a designer rather than utilitarian look is desired.

Not just a pretty design, the new faceplate gives installers an additional 6mm depth behind - ideal for installation into shallow back boxes and trunking especially where Category 6 bend radius needs to be considered.

In brilliant white, the new faceplate range includes both 50x50mm double and 50x100mm quad variants for Krone's range of fully component compliant jacks including Category 5e CL Category 5e HK and the recently launched Category 6 CL jack. Complete component compliant double and quad Category 6 outlets based on the Krone KM8 UTP and KM8 STP jack are also available in the new design.

Selling at the same price as its standard square counterpart, Krone expects there to be a significant uptake of the range.
