POST CTI, a Value Added Distributor (VAD) of standards-based communications products, announces today that it is to be the Gold Sponsor of Voice World 2004, Europe's leading Speech Technology Exhibition and Conference. The event is to be held at Olympia Conference Centre, London, 5-6 May 2004.

POST (stand number 26), which is the only VAD for Intel Telecom Products in the UK, will be demonstrating how speech interfaces can be constructed using standard-based communications building blocks and added to everyday business and consumer applications - not only making them more user-friendly but also more efficient and cost-effective. Centre stage will be a comprehensive demonstration of multiple speech applications running concurrently on an Intel-based carrier-grade server. All these applications have been created with Envox's innovative communication development platform using Nuance and Scansoft speech technologies.

Other Intel 'eco-system' developers at Voice World will include (in alphabetical order):

C3 (Stand number 11) will be demonstrating its capabilities in the area of speech-enabled interactive voice response (IVR) and automated attendant solutions. Its powerful Apcentia multi application communications platform supports a range of speech technology vendors including Nuance, Scansoft and Rhetorical.

Envox Worldwide (Stand number 26) will be demonstrating the Envox Communications Development Platform. The Envox platform is used by application developers and system integrators to significantly reduce the time, cost and complexity of creating a wide variety of voice-enhanced communications solutions including interactive voice response, enhanced self-service, automated directory assistance, alerts & notifications, mobile Internet, voice portals, voice-enabled CRM and unified communications. The Envox platform features a comprehensive VoiceXML browser and integrated support for ScanSoft's SpeechPearl XML 1.0, RealSpeak Client Server software and Nuance speech recognition products. The Envox platform also includes support for VoIP infrastructures via Intel's NetStructure Host Media Processing (HMP) software and support for SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) via Intel's enhanced GlobalCall Protocol. Genesys (Stand number 26) will focus on the Genesys Voice Portal and demonstrate how this voice self-service solution can reduce costs, increase agent productivity, improve customer satisfaction and allow new ways of doing business.

HP (Stand number 18) will be showing OpenCall Voice Interactive Solutions in the solution fair. HP speakers will present HP's solutions and business propositions: Dr. Scott McGlashan, Chief Technologist for HP's interactive media platforms and Chairman of W3C VoiceXML group will present a keynote about Deploying Multiprovider VoiceXML services into the network. Another presentation will focus around the hosting of voice-interactive applications. Most importantly, HP management and solution experts will discuss HP's voice interactive technology and solutions with customers and partners from the speech industry. Macfarlane Telesystems (Stand number 26) will be demonstrating speech-enabled automated attendant and credit card/ post-code validation services on its CallPlus multi-application communications platform. Nuance (Stand number 17) will be demoing Nuance 8.5, the latest release of its popular speech recognition software, optimised for accurate, scalable, and easy-to-deploy voice automation solutions. The high accuracy of Nuance 8.5 allows speech systems to easily overcome the challenges in wireless and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) channels such as background noise, cross talk, signal degradation, dropped packets, signal compression and more. Nuance 8.5 offers numerous advanced features and capabilities including its Say Anything(tm) and AccuRoute(tm) technologies that allow callers to speak more freely and naturally when interacting with voice automation solutions. Nuance 8.5 also supports VoiceXML - the open, standards-based voice application programming language - and is available in 28 languages for comprehensive global language support.

ScanSoft (Stand number 8) will be showing a range of speech technology products and services for network, embedded and productivity environments. These include: its speech recognition engines OSR and SpeechPearl; its RealSpeak text-to-speech products; SpeechSecure, ScanSoft's speaker verification solution; and Dragon Naturally Speaking, its popular dictation software. Scansoft will also be presenting SpeechPaks, its package application components that reduce the overall cost and time-to-market of high quality speech solutions. ScanSoft will be demoing new product releases and new Text-To-Speech voices which, it believes, will set new benchmarks in accuracy and naturalness. Speech technology from ScanSoft is available in 48 languages.
