A tamper proof screw whose external-drive head design allows high clamp loads without risk of cam-out is now available from Kent based BAS Components Limited. Called System Zero, its ease of use and non-slip drive ensures freedom from damage to adjacent components. When System Zero screws are recessed in a component, it is virtually impossible to remove them without the associated hand or power screwdriver. It is the fastener of choice within HM Prisons.

Said BAS Components Industrial Sales Director, Clive Goodall, “We originally introduced System Zero for the Company’s core-business automotive sector, but it has enormous value in providing security fastening within other industries such as transportation, hotels, white goods and electronics”.

System Zero screws are available in steel and stainless steel in sizes from M3 to M8 machine, No.2 to No 14 self-tapping and in a range of UNC/UNF sizes.

The name System Zero is derived from the 0o difference between the required force direction and the actual force direction of the external drive design.

BAS Components has a long-standing reputation within the automotive and aerospace industries and is a subsidiary of TT electronics Group.
