LONDON, 26 April, 2004 - IntelligentApps, the worldwide provider of Excel and Web based Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software, today announced an exclusive partner agreement with Digital Aspects, developers of Direct Analytics solutions. IntelligentAppsä Real Time Reporting renders unprecedented real-time analysis against leading ERP solutions from SAP, Peoplesoft and JD Edwards.

Available today, Real Time Reporting unites IntelligentApps’ sophisticated reporting and analysis client application with ‘Cubics’, Digital Aspects’ powerful Direct Analytics adapter for SAP, Peoplesoft and JD Edwards. Real-time direct access to the live transactional information means that business decisions can be made more quickly using the best possible information.

Paul Martin, CEO of IntelligentApps said, “Reporting from ERP systems is a well documented problem, especially for the daily users such as accountants, who want to interrogate and leverage the wealth of information residing in the ERP system. OLAP tools cannot provide the real time access needed for accurate reporting, and standard ERP report writers simply cannot deliver the level of detail that users want. IntelligentApps Real Time Reporting harnesses the Cubics interface, connects to the real-time transaction level data in SAP, Peoplesoft or JD Edwards, and delivers a powerful and user-friendly Excel-based reporting front end.”

Many companies claim to offer real-time reporting systems, but invariably a staging phase is required. This can lead to discrepancies between the data in the reporting system and the true state of the business.

“The real differentiator for Cubics is that it provides operational OLAP style analysis in real-time. Cubics employs ‘Direct Analytics’ to facilitate interactive access to information held in the operational data systems,” commented Gordon Roxon, CEO of Digital Aspects. “The partnership between IntelligentApps and Digital Aspects is very significant and we have a shared vision going forward. Energis is a great example of this; finance users will not only have the comfort of working in a Microsoft Excel environment but also have the ease of use of a real-time OLAP paradigm on their JD Edwards financial data.”

Ben Heath, Energis Finance Manager explained: "We’re constantly looking for ways to improve and enhance the service we provide to our customers; we selected IntelligentApps Real Time Reporting to improve the month end reporting on our JD Edwards data. The IntelligentApps solution reduces the complexity for the users and the biggest attraction of the solution is that the data is delivered directly into Excel and that these reports are real-time from the JD Edwards accounting system. Our accountants can post a transaction and will be able to immediately see the effect. Ultimately it improves our business processes.”

Demand amongst the SAP, Peoplesoft and JD Edwards communities is expected to be high as organisations recognise the potential for quick return on investment.

“IntelligentApps Real Time Reporting represents something completely new in the OLAP marketplace and early adopters have been quick to identify the benefits,” added Martin. “With the potential to significantly shorten reporting times, Real Time Reporting will pay for itself in a very short space of time.”
