Powerware Corporation, a global leader in power quality and management solutions, today announced the availability of a new double conversion online 8-15 kVA uninterruptible power system (UPS), the Powerware 9155. The combined technical and design features in the Powerware 9155 makes it a leader in the industry in providing highly reliable power protection performance with the best customer value.

The slim and modern design of the Powerware 9155 produces the industry’s highest power output per square meter for valuable real estate savings in the server rooms. By delivering the state-of-art 0,9 power factor, the Powerware 9155 can support more IT equipment than competitive products in the same class. Its unique multi-lingual LCD display and a wide range of connectivity options make power management easy for IT and facility managers. This global platform will first be available in Europe, Middle East, and Africa in April 2004.

“The Powerware 9155 is the first of several key new global platforms Powerware will introduce in 2004, representing a significant technology leap that resets the industry standards in customer value and product performance,” said Mark A. Ascolese, President of Powerware. “This new product is the result of listening carefully about what customers want and devoting over 40 years of accumulative power protection knowledge to significantly exceed what the industry has to offer today.”

“The new system incorporates all the key features that made Powerware the market share leader in UPSs over 5kVA globally, such as Hot Sync for highly reliable paralleling, Advanced Battery Management (ABM) that significantly increases life of batteries, and complete software and connectivity options for ease of management. Then, we added the new technology advancement to make it compact, more user friendly, and more cost effective so the product can better meet customer requirements,” commented Jorma Mannerkoski, Director of Product Marketing, Powerware.

Like other members of the Powerware Series 9 family of UPSs, the 9155 provides ultimate protection from all nine of the most common power problems facing businesses, including power failures, power sags, power surges, under voltages, over voltages, switching transients, line noises, frequency variations and harmonic distortions.
