SHOPPING WITH MOTHER IS NO LONGER A PAIN BUT A PLEASURE AS
MOTHERCARE LAUNCHES BREASTFEEDING LOUNGES
Following extensive consumer research Mothercare, every parent’s favourite retailer, is to launch Breastfeeding Lounges. A new in-store concept that means mothers out shopping will no longer have to search in vain for a relaxing and safe environment to feed their newborns.
The leading retailer aims to create a haven on the high street and has designed a private space specifically to soothe breastfeeding mums juggling shopping and hungry babies. The Breastfeeding Lounge features comfy seating, calming colours and specially-selected music - everything is tailored to meet a mother’s and her baby’s needs.
The Breastfeeding Lounge is easily located within selected Mothercare stores and have been created with mum in mind. As well as providing an area for babies to feed in mothers will be catered for too. Water coolers will be a feature of every lounge so breastfeeding mums, who require a regular intake of fluids, will be able to re-hydrate.
Says Liz Day, Mothercare’s mother mentor and healthcare expert “We are a shop about mums and babies. Listening to our customers and staff demonstrates that your love of shopping doesn’t stop just because you have a child. We hope we have provided a solution for mothers who are nervous of being stranded with a hungry baby and no-where to go.”
