Following last week’s inaugral night, it seems salsa speed dating is set to take the capital by storm. Fiesta Havana’s weekly Tuesday ‘speed salsa’ evening was a huge hit as flocks of upwardly mobile single professionals literally got to grips with members of the opposite sex through three minute dances to hot and spicy salsa music,

Described as fast food for starving singles, Fiesta Havana’s speed salsa is the fastest and funkiest way to meet others from your own age group, all from the planet singledom. Unlike other speed dating sessions, at Havana there is no need for words, instead let your body do all the talking. If your dream evening envisages you dirty dancing with the cutest hottie in the place, then make sure you don’t miss these fantastic nights where it could all become reality.

Indulge yourself in Havana’s two speed dating slots, the first starts at 8.30pm and the second at 9.30pm each lasting 30 minutes, giving you the opportunity to dance with up to fifteen partners. If you feel like a practice before you entice the person of your dreams, Kwame, Havana’s resident dance teacher, can help you brush up on your salsa skills at 7pm, with a complimentary warm-up lesson before speed salsa starts.

All speed daters will be given numbered stickers to wear and a speed dating dance card. If you feel the right vibes from your dancing partner, write down their number in the correct column. Then, and only if the chemistry’s mutual, Havana will email you within 48 hours the first names of your dancing dates and their email addresses.

With spectacular drinks promotions there are plenty of tipples that will tickle your fancy during the evening, including spirits sold by the bottle and traffic light coloured shots at only £1.

Receiving unwanted attention from a hopeful dater, warn them off with a red shot, or if your body tingles with desire indicate your passion by sending over a green shot and show that special someone just how you feel. Treat a dater mean and keep then guessing with an amber coloured shot or, use it to play safe, put the ball in their court and leave it up to your potential dater to let you know how they feel.

Don’t forget Havana’s new happy hour menu available 5 - 7.30pm, where cocktails are only £2.95, there is 2 for 1 on Corona and San Miguel, £5 off bottles of wine, excluding house wine and if you’re feeling peckish you can order any three tapas for only £9.95.

Lovebirds fancying a cosy tête à tête away from the other daters can take advantage of Havana’s special 2 for 1 meal deal, designed especially for couples that have met that night.

Been unable to dance with someone who has caught your eye, take pot luck with Fiesta Havana’s prize draw and be in with a chance to win a future blind date feast at Fiesta Havana. Two lucky tickets will be drawn every Tuesday and the winners will be informed by their preferred contact address.
