Web-based access, collaborative planning capabilities and improved reporting features help finance professionals to plan more accurately and strategically -

Frango, a European leader in corporate performance management (CPM) software, today announced the immediate availability of the latest version of its corporate budgeting, forecasting and reporting software, Frango Advisor. The new version includes a number of significant enhancements over previous versions including web-based access, online collaboration functionality and enhanced reporting features.

Frango Advisor is a suite of software applications that cover the complete range of financial planning and analytic functions for the enterprise, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll planning, consolidations and financial reporting. By combining an enhanced Excel environment with industry standard databases and innovative reporting technology, Frango Advisor provides a comprehensive, familiar and adaptable corporate performance management solution for business of all sizes.

New features available in version 10.0 include:

Web-based access: Frango Advisor v10 is designed to be implemented centrally and accessed by users through a browser. This makes it easy for corporate finance departments to deploy and manage, and means that the suite can scale to support growing numbers of users as necessary.

Online Collaboration: Finance managers from around the enterprise can log into the suite simultaneously and take advantage of the collaborative planning functionality to create joint plans based on a common set of financial data. This means that the planning process is co-ordinated and smooth, with everyone who needs to participate in it doing so simultaneously.

Enhanced reporting features: Once logged into the suite, users can easily generate tailored reports that can be published as workbooks, PDF or HTML files, or displayed as tabs in user-defined report packages that can be distributed automatically with email to other users, such as managers or analysts.

Increased scalability and reliability: Frango Advisor v10 is based on the industry-leading Microsoft® .Net framework, meaning that it can easily scale to support growing numbers of users, while maintaining high levels of reliability and availability.

“The new version of Frango Advisor is designed to increase both the productivity and the strategic capability of the finance function,” said Ian Inglis, managing director, Frango UK. “By offering planning processes in which several managers can participate simultaneously, more people in the organisation can gain an insight into the workings of the overall vision while the software ensures accurate and reliable reports and plans that managers can rely on to drive their business.”

Frango Advisor Version 10 incorporates a number of additional enhancements that make the planning process more efficient and easier to control, thereby allowing managers to spend more time evaluating and monitoring financial performance. This, in turn, enables them to take decisions of a strategic and financial nature with greater certainty.

"We have great expectations for the potential of this new version. Its profile is very well matched to the type of demand we are seeing in the market," concluded Inglis.
