Quadriga and Swisscom Eurospot, both European market leaders in their respective core businesses have announced the launch of a partnership. In selected European hotels and hotel chains Swisscom Eurospot and Quadriga will provide a combined offering based on a shared infrastructure.

Swisscom Eurospot will offer wired and wireless High Speed Internet Access as well as a wide range of Conference Services. Quadriga will provide a fully digital, on demand, interactive communication and entertainment system which delivers the latest content including blockbuster movies, popular music, TV and a range of other revenue generating guest services.

The key advantage of this combined solution is that it will appeal to both individual guests as well as conference guests translating directly into a significant increase in room bookings. As evidenced by Swisscom Eurospot - Quadriga hotel partners, the state of the art digital technology platform has on average more than doubled the revenue from outmoded analogue platforms.

This bundle of services and the hardware infrastructure required, is available for selected hotels without initial capital investment or ongoing operational cost while at the same time generating a significant margin on guest transactions. Moreover, sharing the infrastructure not only leads to cost savings, which will be shared with the hotels, but also ensures a minimisation of interference levels.

The partnership has been very well received in the hospitality sector. A number of large business hotels and hotel chains have taken up this combined offer.

Stuart McCaffer, CFO of BDL Hotel Group UK says: “The new services provided by Quadriga and Swisscom Eurospot in our Express by Holiday Inn properties will offer solid advantages for both our conference participants and our corporate clients. During their stay, our guests can not only work on their corporate e-mails securely, send out, receive or download large files within seconds but also enjoy one of the latest blockbuster movies or listen to music at the same time. The feedback I have received from both guests and conference organisers is that it’s superb”.

Ben Andradi, Chief Executive of Quadriga Worldwide, said: “Hoteliers across Europe acknowledge that high-speed internet access is rapidly becoming a standard service expected by their guests. In order to stay competitive, hoteliers have to meet this expectation and provide their guests not only with a reliable, fast and secure high-speed internet access service but also with a wide range of related conference services. Quadriga Worldwide and Swisscom Eurospot offer hotels the opportunity to meet this demand at a quality of service level that will not only provide guests and conference organisers with complete peace of mind regarding their need for secure connectivity but also undoubtedly make a difference to the hotel revenues.”

Frédéric Gastaldo, CEO of Swisscom Eurospot adds: “Our hotel partners have selected our services in order for their guests to be able to benefit from maximum data security levels at very high speed. This has been achieved through the application of the latest technologies resulting from the involvement of Swisscom Central Research and Development. We believe that providing professionals on the move with fast, easy to use and, above all, very secure access to the corporate VPN, e-mail and the web is an essential element of our value proposition”.
