Avanquest Kommunicate appoints new Sales Manager

Avanquest Kommunicate is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Mike Rae to become Sales Manager for Corporate Solutions. With immediate effect, Mike will manage the 11 strong sales team at the Winchester office.

Kommunicate has recently changed its name to Avanquest Kommunicate, becoming part of the global software publishing network, Avanquest. Based in Winchester for the last 6 years, the portfolio of products has grown steadily and the company has evolved into a recognised specialist supplier of Business Automation and Compliance Solutions.

Mike lives in Fareham with his wife Marie and 3-year old daughter Rebecca. His main hobby is football, both as a supporter of Portsmouth and playing for a local team, regular visits to the gym and Spanish evening classes. Despite this, Mike finds time to listen to music and enjoy a drink or a meal at one of his favourite locations, Gunwharf Quays.

Mike joined Kommunicate in 1994 as a Purchasing Executive. At this time, Kommunciate was the UK's leading supplier of laser printers. Mike moved into a sales role early in 1995, starting with the consumables team selling direct to end users such as Glaxo and Sainsbury's. When the decision was made that the company concentrate on software sales, Mike transferred to Fontware dealer sales, where he worked for 2 years, looking after resellers like Computacenter, SCC and Civica. In 1997, he transferred to the CallXpress sales team at the Fleet office and helped launch Unified Messaging. Success was rewarded with a customer base which included Eversheds, Bradford Health Authority and BAA. Mike moved into the RightFax sales team in 1998 where he gained invaluable experience of this equally important side of the business, allowing him to build strong relationships with clients such as ACE Insurance, Admiral Insurance, AXA, Nationwide, Royal & Sun Alliance, Royal Bank of Canada &
Tarmac.

Mike comments that "Much of our success can be attributed to the fact that we carefully select software solutions that deliver real business benefits, provide a rapid return on investment and help customers achieve regulatory compliance". During the sales process, we spend as much time talking to the Business Analysts, Project Managers and Department Heads as we do with the IT Department. I'm also fortunate to have a highly skilled team working with me who specialise in vertical markets in the Public Sector, Legal and Banking & Finance."

Legislation and regulatory structures relating to compliance are constantly being introduced in the UK. Avanquest Kommunicate is already installing solutions for clients that comply with regulatory processes and it is expected that this will treble over the next three years.
