Get fit with quality trampolines from

Child obesity is a growing problem in the UK, with recent BUPA research estimating that up to 15% of children in the UK are overweight. Today’s inactive lifestyles, combined with junk food diets, mean children are failing to burn off calories, causing fatness and low fitness. The Kids Window, an online retailer of children's specialty clothing and games, has an answer to the problem. The company is selling a range of high quality trampolines that help kids keep fit while having fun too.

While, in the past, children “played out” and enjoyed active games such as hopscotch, running, and skipping, fears about safety combined with the rise of indoor pursuits of TV, computers and Playstations, have taken regular exercise off the daily regime. Now it can be restored in the safety of the home, as trampolining not only burns calories at a faster rate than jogging, but also increases agility, stimulates growth, and improves the child’s sense of balance*.

Three models of trampoline from the high specification Jaques range are available from The Kids Window (, priced between £59 and £398. The trampolines are suitable for children aged six upwards, and adults too, giving equal fun for the bigger ‘kiddies’ in the home! The 8ft model is suitable for those up to 14 stone, while the 14ft model will support up to 18 stone. The Kids Window also sells a 40” fitness model. Once ordered online, a trampoline is delivered to the customer within five days.

The Kids Window also sells upright safety net arenas that totally enclose the trampoline’s jumping area, providing confidence for children and peace of mind for parents, by ensuring bangs and bruises are minimised. Safety net arenas, also from the Jaques range, cost from £150 to £195.

Jason Lewis, director of The Kids Window, comments: “I bought a trampoline for my niece, Catherine, on her sixth birthday earlier this month. She loves it, and can’t wait to use it when she returns from school, rather than watching the TV. Within weeks, Catherine has become much fitter and has lost a significant amount of weight. Her mum says her ‘biscuit belly’ has disappeared entirely. Other kids could follow Catherine’s example and lose their spare inches too!”
