July 1 2004 – SalesAssist™, a new more personal sales and marketing support service for business is announced today. The service goes beyond available telemarketing services, forging closer working links with client salesmen and providing ‘hands-on’ sales productivity support.

Launched by consultancy group CorpusHabitas (CH), the new service consists of four elements: campaign planning, cold calling, appointment setting and sales support.

Tim Wickes, Principal Consultant of CorpusHabitas believes that the new service fills a gap in available sales support services. “Existing telemarketing services may be satisfactory for some companies, but I believe they can be remote, impersonal to the point of annoyance, and don’t go far enough in the client relationship. Fixing appointments is not enough. Good salesmen need good support. With SalesAssist™, our consultant aims to fit into the client’s sales team, to the point of being able to provide telephone sales support if client sales personnel aren’t available”, he comments.

From an initial discussion with a prospective client, a suitable CorpusHabitas consultant is assigned. The consultant will visit the client to meet members of the sales force, to be briefed on company modus operandi and products and to finalise the campaign plan. If required, the CH consultant will attend meetings with client prospects and provide sales staff with back- up telephone answering support where required.

The campaign plan includes target markets, prospect specification details, and a minimum level of activities over an agreed period. Each campaign is unique, tailored to fit a client’s budget and requirements. Whilst most campaign costs will be based on standard charges per activity, options to put more emphasis on results will always be considered. For example, activity cost may be reduced and replaced by commission on sales revenue.
