Four megapixel resolution and 3.4x optical zoom set a new standard in
Fujifilm today announced the FinePix F440 Zoom: a four megapixel digital camera with a 3.4 times optical zoom, two inch LCD screen, and housed in a design so small that it can be hidden behind a single Post-It® Note.
Borrowing the good looks of its predecessors – the popular FinePix F410 and F420 Zoom – the trim figure of this new model is possible thanks to a newly developed lens structure. The clever lens design makes this camera’s enviable vital statistics achievable (W 74.5 x H 62.3 x D 21.3 mm and a body weight of just 150g).
Although weighing no more than a mobile handset, the FinePix F440 Zoom is big where it counts – boasting a 2” LCD screen, fast F2.8 lens and enough megapixels to allow images to be printed as enlargements without loss of quality.
Furthermore, the brushed metal casing and eye-catching, cool, blue lights will please those who feel aesthetic appeal is as critical as image quality.
Not just a pretty face, the FinePix F440 Zoom is capable of ISO 80, enabling enhanced quality images in bright conditions.
A new lithium rechargeable battery gives the camera stamina, while technology advancements mean its power consumption has been reduced even further. The FinePix F440 Zoom comes complete with a PictureCradle, making recharging and downloading both easy and convenient. PictBridge™ compatibility also allows printing at home without the need for a PC or Mac.
FinePix F440 Zoom features at a glance:
· CCD sensor delivering 4.1 million pixels
· 2.0-inch LCD monitor for clarity and detail
· 3.4x optical zoom lens
· Low sensitivity setting of ISO 80 for photography in bright conditions with low noise
· New lithium battery (NP-30) and reduced energy consumption
· Movie capture of 10 frames per second with sound
· xD-Picture Card™ providing large storage capacity, lower power consumption and fast write speeds (16MB to 512MB)
· USB PictureCradle for fuss-free downloading of images and battery recharging
· PictBridge™ compatible for direct printing without a PC
Adrian Clarke, Fujifilm’s Director of Consumer Products, said, “Despite their non-professional positioning, ultra-compacts are where some of the most interesting technological advancements are being made in digital photography. We’re pleased to be the first to offer a lens that goes all the way to 130mm and a 2” LCD in a body so small.“
