Green Flag Motoring Assistance has been given the thumbs up by the readers of a national magazine who have awarded the company the title of best direct breakdown provider.

The roadside rescue and recovery company was also voted best online breakdown provider by the readers of Your Money magazine, a specialist publication that reports on the very best value for money personal finance products.

The judges placed Green Flag ahead of its main competitors across a range of service and price elements including the price of breakdown cover, service on the telephone and at the roadside and additional benefits available to customers.

Special mention was made for Green Flag’s redesigned and easy-to-negotiate website at www.greenflag.com for the quality of product information available online and the ease of getting a quote for cover.

Commenting on the award, Green Flag marketing director, Hillary Williams said: “This success recognises the hard work put in by many people to develop a roadside rescue and recovery service and product range that meets customers’ needs and can be accessed easily online.”

Green Flag has been helping drivers for more than 30 years is now the first choice for almost 5 million motorists including customers of some of the UK’s largest businesses and organisations. Around 6,000 breakdown technicians are available on call 24 hours a day, all year round and they achieve an average call-out time of 39 minutes* with 80 per cent of breakdowns successfully fixed at the roadside.
