We will be announcing the results of a national survey into Carbon Monoxide awareness by well-known journalist and researcher, Jan Walsh - 'CO-Don't get Caught Out!' event on Thursday, 29th July .

Over 50 people in the UK die from Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning every year . Elderly people and students are often the victims. Dubbed 'the silent killer', this deadly gas affects hundreds of people across Britain. However, these deaths and illnesses can easily be avoided.

Dr. Mark Porter, presenter of BBC1's Watchdog Healthcheck, will be on hand to talk about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning, how you can recognise the symptoms and offer suggestions of ways your readers can protect themselves and easily spot signs of CO poisoning.

In addition, a number of people with first-hand experience of carbon monoxide poisoning will be attendance to talk about their personal experiences with CO. Please see the event details below.

We'll have interviews available with all spokespeople following the event. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions or to schedule an interview.

Many thanks
