SAN FRANCISCO -- SANRAD Inc today 29th July 2004 announced that its V-Switch products have successfully completed interoperability testing with IBM’s TotalStorage FAStT, IBM 2104 Ultra 320 SCSI and Enterprise Storage Server products and has been confirmed as IBM TotalStorage Proven.

The IBM TotalStorage Proven program builds on IBM’s already extensive interoperability efforts to develop and deliver products and solutions that work together with third party products. "This program provides SANRAD with pre-tested solutions and configurations," said Zophar Sante of SANRAD “Our participation in the program demonstrates that SANRAD and IBM are each focused on customer satisfaction by promoting greater interoperability.”

SANRAD’s iSCSI V-Switches enable simplified IP- storage area network (SAN) deployments for customers while allowing departments to large enterprises to maximize their return on investment (ROI) by utilizing existing or new IBM storage systems as shared resources on an iSCSI SAN. All SANRAD products, V-Switch 3000 and V-Switch 2000, have successfully completed IBM Total StorageProven testing.
The iSCSI V-Switch storage consolidation and management functions protect a customer’s investment by gathering all storage systems into a single and easy to allocate storage pool. Administrators can define new logical volumes from these pooled resources independent of physical barriers such as enclosures, physical disks, protocols and distance and make new logical volumes available to servers. Moreover, SANRAD iSCSI storage is “block-based” and compatible with all common applications currently supported by the iSCSI driver on new and existing server platforms.

The IBM TotalStorage Proven program supports the ability of independent hardware and software vendors to build high-quality solutions with the latest technology on leading storage platforms as well as reduce solution design time when multiple, tested building blocks have already been pre-tested.

SANRAD is the leader in IP Storage Networking, enabling hundreds of organizations worldwide to effectively access, share and manage storage across standard Ethernet environments. SANRAD delivers a new dimension in the continuity and simple management of vital business information by coupling standard IP connectivity with network-based storage services to create IP-based Storage Area Networks. SANRAD IP SANs enable full data availability, effective resource provisioning and complete data protection with excellent price/performance. SANRAD’s U.S. sales, marketing and support offices are located in Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area, Calif., with research and development and international sales offices in Tel Aviv, Israel. SANRAD is backed by leading venture capital firm Sequoia Capital and is also a member of the RAD Group, a family of more than 20 independent companies that together make up one of the largest multi-national revenue producers in networking
