You’re never without power with Brother’s latest office label printer, the

This portable machine – designed to provide tough labelling in various locations around the office – includes a rechargeable battery and its own
re-charging unit that sits neatly on a desk.

So when not in use, the labeller is busy charging up ready for its next task.

The PT-18R produces durable labels which can include text, graphics or barcodes for files, folders, CDs, stationery and storage cabinets and can be operated either stand-alone – via its in-built QWERTY keyboard – or hooked up to a PC using USB.

It can handle four tape sizes, from 6mm to 18mm, in a range of colours and application types, such as strong adhesive tape for hostile environments, laminated TZ tape for everyday use and security tape, which leaves a checkerboard pattern when removed.

The patented P-touch TZ tape provides one of the toughest labelling options available. Constructed from six layers of material, it is strong while being thin and flexible. Characters are printed onto the underside of a laminate cover, making them virtually indestructible. Their laminated tops also protect the lettering from a range of hazards, including abrasion, extremes of temperature, sunlight, chemicals, oil and water, making them ideal in any tough environment..

When connected to a computer, users can access all fonts available on the PC.

In stand-alone mode, there is a choice of four fonts. In the same mode, eight different type styles are available in vertical, mirror and underlining options.

Lesley Howe, Brother UK’s identification product manager, says: “With its compact, handheld design and rechargeable battery, you have a label printer combining the best in portability and longevity.”

The PT-18R has a Suggested Retail Price of £129.00.
