Sport information provider FixturesLive (www.fixtureslive.com) has chosen Nemisys Enterprises (www.nemisys.uk.com ) as its web partner. FixturesLive provides real time data services and feeds on sports fixtures, results and league tables for the amateur sports sector in the UK. Rather than building its internal web design division to cope with an increase in demand, it has decided to outsource web design in order to focus on developing its core information service. Nemisys was chosen because of its experience in delivering accessible content management websites for the non-profit sector.

The amateur sports sector is the biggest voluntary sector in the UK, with over 765,000 full-time volunteers helping to run 140,000 sports clubs. FixturesLive streamlines administration by providing bodies and clubs with an interactive service which allows them to instantaneously upload (and download) scores and other relevant data via SMS and the web. Already providing data feeds and information for over 2,000 league and cup competitions, FixturesLive is growing at a rapid rate, hence the need to concentrate on its core product and find a trusted partner experienced in sport and the voluntary sector - Nemisys already has the British Paralympic Association and England Hockey as clients.

Ben Reynolds, FixturesLive’s business development director, said:

“Working with Nemisys will allow us to offer the various clubs and societies a ‘no-compromise solution’, equipping them with the ability to update their own sites via CMS as well as having the latest data feed on their sites. In short we hope to be able to deliver the best that the web can offer to a large sector that is not renowned for having a huge pot of money!”

John Duffy, marketing director for Nemisys, a keen hockey player himself added:

“Working with FixturesLive appeals to us because their service saves time for club officers and league secretaries. From my experience in running hockey clubs and captaining teams, I would say if you can do that well, clubs will flock to you. We will take the FixturesLive system and integrate it with our own technology to deliver exactly what a club, league or national governing body needs.”
