ORMvision signs contract with health sector service provider FOCUS-GENT V.Z.W.
ORMvision, the collaborative business process mManagement (CBPM) software company, today announced the signing of a contract with Focus-Gent V.Z.W., a Belgian based service provider to the welfare services sector.
ORMvision’s ORMcenter (TM) software manages and automates business processes between different parties, facilitating close monitoring of the steps involved in those processes. The result is a complete audit trail that can be used for SLA (service level agreement) management, management reports, financial audits and budgetary control.
By applying such a business process management system to a nursing call-in system, the result is a streamlined operation and comprehensive overview of all activities performed. This overview provides essential information for accurate budgeting and for requesting subsidies – the lifeblood of many organisations in this sphere. With traditional call-in systems, subsidy requests were based on random checks with all the inaccuracies these entail.
ORMvision is working with Focus-Gent V.Z.W., a Ghent-based company active in the field of welfare services. Inserting an ISDN telephony card in the central business process management server and deploying a series of PDAs connected to the same central server using the latest Wi-Fi technology, it is now possible for users of the system to call in and select services from a pre-defined menu set. Nursing staff then receive an online report via PDA’s confirming the request. Once on site, they also track when the service begins and when it is completed, adding comments or results as appropriate.
With everything registered by ORMcenter, it is possible not only to obtain an overview of events and who is handling what, but also to determine exact future capacity requirements. This automatically translates to more accurate budgeting. One major difference of this innovative solution is that all registration is done on line and requires no subsequent synchronisation with a central unit. ORMcenter provides the unique combination of a call-in system and care registration system.
Phil Church, CEO of ORMvision explains: “This project, our first in the field of welfare services, demonstrates that ORMcenter can be easily adapted from its original core market of telecoms to many other areas to handle similar activities and requirements. The Focus vision is compelling and we are very excited to be working with them on this groundbreaking deployment. It is an innovative project in a traditionally conservative market, making use of the most recent technology and concepts.”
