Establishes New European Partner Portal and EMEA Partner Advisory Council
London, UK – September 20, 2004 – SonicWALL, Inc., a leading provider of integrated security, productivity and mobility solutions, today announced significant changes to its European Medallion Partner Programme, a programme that acknowledges and rewards channel partners and service providers committed to growing SonicWALL’s business. At the same time SonicWALL announced that it has established a Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Partner Advisory Council with a select group of key resellers.
A restructuring of the programme was recommended at the inaugural meeting of SonicWALL’s Partner Advisory Council earlier this year. Among the changes is the reclassification of resellers with Approved Partner status who become Registered Resellers. Silver and Gold Partner level programmes remain but partners who wish to continue to hold Silver or Gold status must first sign new Master Agreements. Finally, a new Platinum level of partner has been added. The Platinum programme category will be exclusive to a select number of partners by invitation.
SonicWALL expects to have 100-150 Silver 50-60 Gold and six Platinum partners for the whole of EMEA.
Supporting the initiative will be the phased introduction of a new partner portal offering greater benefits and interactive lead management.

The Partner Advisory Council, which next meets in November, comprises a select group of approximately 20 people from key SonicWALL channel partners across Europe. “SonicWALL’s Partner Advisory Council gives us an opportunity to provide first hand input into SonicWALL’s future direction in EMEA,” said Peter Reynolds, managing director, Networks Unlimited. “Through open, honest discussions with SonicWALL’s senior management we can directly influence our mutual business in security, productivity and mobility solutions.”
The Medallion Partner Programme offers SonicWALL channel partners and solution providers four options for partnership, based upon level of commitment: Registered, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The programme delivers value to SonicWALL partners at each level, including preferred buying conditions, new service benefits, sales incentives, additional co-marketing activities, and regular communications.
The Medallion Partner Programme features the following benefits at each level of partner involvement:
Registered – By simply registering with SonicWALL partners receive regular communication from SonicWALL, Web-based product training sessions and access to numerous co-marketing tools
Silver – In addition to the benefits received by Registered Partners, SonicWALL Silver Partners receive sales lead referrals, preferred buying conditions at distribution as well as RISK – SonicWALL’s ready to use seminar and ready to go end user email campaigns.
Gold – Additional benefits extended to Gold Partners include joint co-marketing activities, partner and support referral programmes, a priority preview programme, priority lead forwarding, a named SonicWALL sales representative, telephone technical support service and promotion on the SonicWALL website. Gold partners are also invited to SonicWALL’s annual partner conference.
Platinum – Further advantages available to Platinum Partners include access to the Technical Account Management programme comprising an assigned SonicWALL Technical Account Manager.
The new Medallion Partner Programme is available immediately to channel partners and Service Providers throughout Europe.
