Just sign-up to wow the crowd with your selection - you have just 15-minutes to impress the crowd, and the judges. It's worth borrowing a friend's music player, as the best DJs will win fantastic prizes from Rip and Burn, who are offering MP3 players to the lucky winners.
You don't need to be a DJ. If you love music and don't own a music player just come along and dance to the music, be a judge, come party with the Playlist people. October 23. Free entry.

Playlist is the club for music lovers who want to share, not steal, their music. It's for people who've grown fed-up with having their musical taste dictated by radio playlists and superstar DJs. It's a place where the audience has its own identity, where the next track is truly unpredictable. Because it's a shared experience, every DJ does their utmost to ensure they play sounds that keep the party kicking. The next party takes place on October 23 at North London's Progress Bar (162 Tufnell Park Road, London, N7 0EE),

Prizes are sponsored by the UK's newest digital music title, Rip and Burn magazine (, from Haymarket, publishers of Stuff Magazine. Rip and Burn is offering DJs the chance to win an MP3 player, details of which will be published on the Playlist Web site,

Recent official music sales figures from the IFPI confirm the music industry is beginning to recover, as legal digital music services open ears to brand-new sounds, and Apple's defining iPod product offers new ways to enjoy the music you own.

Playlist is the place to celebrate digital diversity, where music matters more than genres and music lovers can get together to hear diverse sounds. Playlist is about sharing the excitement and energy of musical diversity in a digital age.

Playlist invites music lovers to turn up, sign up and play DJ for 15 minutes. The best DJs in the opinion of Playlist's volunteer judges will win prizes. Judges sign-up and are rotated during the night. You don't have to be a DJ or a judge - just come along and party.

DJs can use iPods, or any MP3 player to deliver their tunes. We provide the space, lights and sound rig.

Playlists from previous parties are available online, along with news, images and more information about the club. A small selection of high-res images are available for download, just email for access details.
