Q: What's ten miles long and edible?

A: 138,000 sausages! The number of sausages sold at The Clifton Sausage in Bristol since it opened just over two years ago.

The Clifton Sausage, famed throughout Bristol for its delicious sausages, is celebrating Sausage Week by holding its very own Sausage Festival from 25th - 31st October.

Having sold over 138,000 sausages since they opened just over two years ago, The Clifton Sausage will be offering over thirty different varieties of sausages from all over the UK, changing daily throughout the week. Customers are invited to vote for their favourite sausage, with the champion sausage being awarded its own trophy at the end of the week.

Sausages on offer will range from the much acclaimed 'Clifton' sausage (Old Spot pork, with cider and wholegrain mustard) to buffalo and port. Customers who offer their tasting verdict will be entered into a prize draw to win the classic bangers and mash meal for two with Champagne or Shiraz.

The new Autumn menu, launched this week includes new sausage centred dishes such as Smoked Abergavenny sausage salad, Cumberland mixed grill and Toulouse sausages, spicy bean casserole and red onion rings. But for those wanting traditional sausage dishes such as 'Toad in the Hole' or sausages and champ will be glad to see they are still firm favourites on the Clifton Sausage menu.

Customers wanting to make the most of Sausage Week should call the Clifton Sausage and make a reservation in order to avoid disappointment: Tel: 0117 9731192.
