L-Mail.com, the web based letter writing service, has expanded its network to incorporate 12 printing and posting locations around the globe.
The L-Mail.com website allows users to type and format a letter before it is printed and posted to anywhere in the world from the location the author specifies. The recent additions to the growing network of printing and posting locations gives users more choice in where their letters can be posted from.
Peter Harris, Managing Director of QiQ Limited, the developers of the system, commented "Initial feedback and interest in L-Mail.com in the three weeks following our launch has been huge. We're pleased to be bridging the digital divide between people with Internet access and those without by providing a service that is often faster and cheaper than traditional air mail to more worldwide locations."
"We thought interest would be strong in our initial UK target market but have quite surprised by how quick the message about L-Mail.com has spread around the world. We've had users from many countries including those you would perhaps expect like Australia and the USA but also a strong interest from many European countries including Austria, Sweden, Hungary, Germany and Finland."
L-Mail can now be sent anywhere via the following locations:
Australia - Sydney
Canada - British Columbia
Ireland - Dublin
Norway - Oslo
Romania - Cluj
Slovenia - Ljubljana*
Spain - Madrid
United Kingdom - Edinburgh
United Kingdom - Leicester*
United Kingdom - London
United States - Ellensburg (West Coast)

Further locations are scheduled to be added over future weeks.

L-mail, or Letter Mail, allows individuals and businesses to send letters to any postal addresses from any computer with a web browser. QiQ Limited is developing l-Mail for use by consumers and businesses. Users create and format their letters using a simple four-step process:
1. Users write their letters through any Internet browser.
2. Once the letter has been written and the service paid for, L-Mail route the letter to the nearest printing station to the recipient.
3. L-Mail print the letter, put it in an envelope and send it on its way using first class mail.
4. If requested, a copy of the letter is emailed back to the sender. A further email is sent confirming when the letter has been printed and posted.
Who will use L-Mail?
A survey conducted by Internet Market Research Services (IMRS) on behalf of L-Mail of 4,876 UK consumers concluded that 61% of consumers would use such a service.
