Bow Prices Capture Hearts of Buyers

On the 28th October, 1000 first time buyers will be lining the pavements of North London in a bid to purchase some of the cheapest property in London. The E3 ‘Heart of Bow’ development consists of just 212 properties and its popularity is due to its high specification and low prices.

Lovell, the UK’s leading affordable house builder is behind the ‘Heart of Bow’. In line with company policy, people will only be able to buy a maximum of two properties each. Prices for property will be in the region of £182,000* for a one bedroom apartment.

Emily Aklan, Sales Manager for Lovell London says: “Demand for the ‘Heart of Bow’ has been overwhelming. We are receiving over 50 calls a day with most of these enquiries from first time buyers. Security has been drafted in to ensure we maintain the first come first served promise.”

First time buyer, Tasha Hill, who made the first call to the property hotline said: “Postcode snobbery is dead. Due to the nature of the housing market at the moment, I intend to queue through the night if that is what it takes to secure an apartment and get on the property ladder. I think Bow is London’s best kept secret, it’s close to where I work, has good travel links and is most importantly, within my budget.”

The first people in the queue will be able to choose from 18 off plan properties with completion commencing in 2005 and a selection of 194 off plan properties with a completion date of 2006. The dwelling mix includes 1, 2 bedroom apartments, penthouses and 2, 3 bedroom houses.

The internal specification includes a number of option packages ranging from stylish Roca bathrooms, contemporary designed kitchen furniture and Porcelanosa tiles as standard. Platinum finish in the penthouses also includes luxury granite work surfaces and fully integrated brush steel appliances.

‘Heart of Bow’ is the last major site in the Tower Hamlets Housing Action Trust redevelopment programme. It is a part of the strategically important Leaside Regeneration Area and the Thames Gateway. The orientation of the site provides excellent vistas over the Thames Gateway and south westerly to Canary Wharf. The site provides good travel links via road, underground and Docklands Light railway.

The event will be held at the Business Design Centre in Islington on the 28th October and doors will open from 9am in the morning. Reservations will be on a first come, first served basis. Lovell recommends that you arrive early to avoid disappointment.
