Datawatch joins forces with Reef to give a boost to Health

Datawatch-Europe was pleased to attend CIPFA’s Health Finance conference in York, held on the 7th/8th of October. The conference was attended by over 150 senior health trust delegates who were interested in the finance, accounting and compliance developments now devolving to the NHS. They discussed upcoming initiatives to respond to these issues. Datawatch presented Monarch, it’s number one report mining tool used by over 500, 000 users and news that their range of products would help Trusts was very well received at the conference.

National Health Trusts are currently facing many critical issues, including perfecting policies for the Freedom of Information Act and Performance League Table positioning. The Freedom of Information Act entitles a general right of access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities, with full access being required in January 2005. Monarch helps users to control and work with data more efficiently and its Data Pump and Enterprise Solutions automate such processes and thus have clear implications for improving performance table ratings.

Not only was the event a success, Datawatch-Europe signed a new reseller Reef, specialists in Document and Record Management, and Workflow solutions. This partnership not only opens up new prospects in the North of England as Reef is based in Sheffield, but they are very well positioned in Business Process Management and work with many Health Trust customers.

Datawatch has invited Reef back to York on 17th November where it has convened a half day forum for Health Trust professionals. Rob Graham, Product Manager for Datawatch said, “We sponsored the evening of the CIPFA dinner. Over drinks, I quickly became aware of the ongoing concerns of delegates on Freedom of Information, League Tables and Audit issues. I decided then and there to organise a Forum with three key note speakers, each expert in one of these fields. I have kept it to a half day and it is free to Health Trust delegates”. Graham continued, “We have many local government customers throughout the U.K. and are pleased to be sponsoring this event which will provide timely information to long standing and potential customers”.
