The first of a range of custom PCs, manufactured by Boston Limited, featuring state-of-the-art computer hardware from Supermicro, twin Intel XEON processors and dual NVIDIA graphics boards will demonstrate the world's most advanced animated TV presentation system in London on November 23/24.The Supermicro based workstation is one of the first to feature SLI - or Scalable Link Interface - a configuration which allows twin PCI-Express ports to mount dual NVIDIA 6800 graphics boards, and load-share the task of real time rendering. The result is unprecedented image rendering performance.The demonstration forms part of Barco's Technology Showcase at London's 3 Mills Studios, and will allow Televirtual to operate it's new animated TV presentation system at HDTV compatible resolution.
