For the second year running, e-Learning provider, SkillSoft, has reached the shortlists twice for the coveted IITT awards.

In 2004, SkillSoft went on to win Gold and Silver awards in association with Lunn Poly (TUI UK) and Hilton International for the Internal and External e-Learning Project of the Year categories.

This year, SkillSoft has been shortlisted for the e-Learning Project of the Year and the Staff Development Strategy of the Year categories, following entries submitted with Marconi and Siemens Communications.

The award for e-Learning Project of the Year will be presented to an enterprise that has carried out an e-Learning project that is innovative in concept and has produced demonstrable performance improvement for the client; whilst the Staff Development Strategy of the Year award will go to an enterprise that has implemented a proactive staff development programme for its employees that has made a significant and measurable contribution to the organisation's business objectives.

Shortlisted candidates were invited to make a formal submission to an independent panel of IITT judges in November and December. The winners will be announced at the Institute's Awards Dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane on the 3rd February 2005.
