Azure Solutions, the revenue assurance company, today announced that it has won the contract to provide Celltel, Sri Lanka’s pioneer cellular operator, with its Fraud Control System.

Celltel owns Sri Lanka’s first cellular network which commenced operations in 1989. It provides a wide range of services and value-added facilities, including personalised answering, international roaming and pre-paid card services. As Celltel was looking to further expand its services, it required a fraud-detection system that could detect a wide range of potentially fraudulent activity across its network.

The Azure Fraud Control System allows operators to detect fraud across their networks effectively and efficiently. It uses intelligent and unique detection technology, and accepts multiple data feeds to allow all types of products or service to be monitored (fixed, mobile, interconnect, IP etc).

The Azure Fraud Control System enables operators to:
· flexibly configure, control and define fraud-detection rules
· intelligently detect anomalous and unusual behaviour
· identify fraudsters and criminal activity through event fingerprinting
· monitor SMS and IP content to provide fraud detection for e-commerce and next-generation technologies
· improve efficiency and effectiveness of fraud detection teams through comprehensive case management workflow and report generation.
· enhance their visualisation capabilities allowing for ease of identification of fraud issues.
