LONDON, November 2004 – IntelliQ, a leading provider of comprehensive loss prevention solutions to the retail sector, announces that British retailer Argos is now live with IntelliQ’s RetailKey Loss Prevention solution.

John Prior, Head of Security for Argos, commented that “This firmly establishes Argos as an industry leader in the field of loss prevention. It is a great opportunity for us to look across the whole of our store network and proactively focus on the most significant sources of loss that may occur. RetailKey LP provides us with an invaluable tool in the ongoing fight against fraud”.

Argos will analyse the millions of EPoS transactions produced every week and expects to achieve a return on investment well within the first year with annual savings thereafter.

According to Adrian Sherry, Security Solutions Manager, “IntelliQ quickly achieved both the buy-in and enthusiasm from our entire team. Throughout the implementation they demonstrated real expertise in loss prevention and achieved success in each of the project’s objectives”.

RetailKey LP is a new generation of loss prevention solution which, unlike traditional techniques, allows unconstrained investigative analysis across the 100s of millions of detailed EPoS transactions that retailers generate. This “Train of Thought” analysis allows patterns and exceptions to be identified quickly and accurately.

Its intuitive interface, coupled with world class visualisation tools is the result of working with retailers for many years to build a solution that is “in tune” with retail people, businesses and processes. Its KPI reports, actionable alerts, automated workflows and links to CCTV systems are all designed to support an operational environment that focuses on action and efficiency rather than suffering analysis paralysis.

According to David Snocken, IntelliQ’s Product Development Director, “In the last year, loss prevention has made it to the list of top 10 priorities for many retailers and
I am pleased to welcome Argos to our user community.”
