Anyone who has ever written a book will tell you how hard it is to get it published.

Even a successful best selling author, such as JK Rowling received more than her fair share of reject slips, before finally making in to print with her first Harry Potter story. brings together publishers, literary agents and authors, using carefully crafted web-based tools, without wasting each other’s time and energy on negative leads.

The site is the brainchild of Mick Sanderson, author of Sculpture : Inside Out and draws on his experiences and frustrations as a nascent writer gained when struggling to make it into print.

Once Sanderson had written his book he was desperate to find the right publisher. He had no experience of how to approach publishers and was devastated when he found that, supposedly, credible information meant that he was wasting both his own time and that of the publishers contacted. To be published seemed an impossible task with the resources available.

“I decided something had to be done: Writers’ Nexus is a comprehensive answer to the problems I encountered,” said Sanderson, who added, “It’s said there’s at least one book in everyone, this site should help would be authors secure a publishing contract.”

The writer can even revise and edit their work online. This serves as a secure back up, should authors lose their original manuscript or master file.

There are more than forty different fiction and non fiction headings under which writers can promote their book, plus a category for TV and radio scripts and film screenplays. makes available a comprehensive range of promotional tools to both the new and established writer.

The site explains how to write a synopsis – the most important part of the submission. It also contains links to over 600 publishers and there are over 150 links to useful sites offering writers tips, events, courses, reference material and support services. Its writers’ forum offers respite for those experiencing the lonely solitude of the computer screen to contact others in a similar situation.

The site is free to use for publishers and agents. Writers pay only £35 for membership.

Free registration is offered for first 100 authors of unpublished works.
