TOWER Software revealed today some of the new features that will be found in TRIM Context Service Pack 3.

TRIM Context’s new Document Assembly module and Document Comparison Xtension are bound to please anyone responsible for creating and authoring documents.

Traditionally, many organizations have used complex macros within their word processing packages to manage the production routine documentation that involves the re-use of sections of content; such as faxes, agendas, tender responses, minutes, routine acknowledgement letters, and contracts. This meant a variety of templates, each containing macros specific to its purpose.

With TRIM Context’s Document Assembly the templates are stored centrally in TRIM Context, which allows them to be managed easily by using the versioning and access management tools as for any other TRIM Context document. Once a template is updated, the changes will take immediate effect for all users, no dedicated rollout required.

The TRIM Context Document Assembly functionality not only frees up valuable time by not having to spend it on mundane and repetitive document compilation tasks, but it also allows organizations to provide increased service levels to their customers.

The Document Comparison Xtension will make it easy for organizations to use their existing document comparison tools on documents stored within the TRIM Context repository

Other new features in Service Pack 3; include automated part creation – to automatically manage the closing and creating of file parts, an integration to SAP, and an alerts function which allows TRIM users to subscribe to information so that they will be automatically informed of changes and updates.

The new Service Pack will be available soon from TOWER Software regional Offices.
