LEXINGTON, Mass., January 18, 2005 – Arbor Networks®, a leading provider of network integrity systems, today announced a reseller partnership with Netmarks, Inc., one of Japan’s leading distributors and systems integrators of IP equipment. Under the agreement, Netmarks will provide sales, network design and planning, system integration and support services for Arbor’s Peakflow SP family of products throughout Japan.

“An efficient and reliable network environment is critical for business success. Now more than ever, it is essential to both protect networks from attacks and to optimize traffic,” said Kazuhiko Shirai, executive office of Netmarks. “Arbor Network’s proven solutions have been well-received by service providers. Our customers will benefit from Arbor’s unique protection against zero-day worms and DDoS attacks as well as the ability to visualize and manage network traffic and routing.”

"Arbor Networks is a global market leader; the majority of service providers worldwide are using Arbor to protect their networks against Denial of Service (DOS) attacks," said Tom Schuster, senior vice president and sales and marketing at Arbor Networks. "We are pleased to have a strong partner in Netmarks to develop the early success of Arbor in Japan. Network security is especially important in Japan due to the high development of the triple play applications - broadband IP, TV, and voice-over-IP."

Peakflow SP transforms business planning and operations through its complete view of network-wide traffic and routing data. Peakflow SP learns normal traffic and routing behavior across hundreds of routers and thousands of interfaces. Using this information Peakflow SP notifies network operators of significant changes to the network, whether they are the result of DoS attacks, worms, misconfiguration, equipment failure, or long-term shifts in traffic patterns. With Peakflow SP, network operators can more accurately predict the impact of network growth as well as proposed changes, including the rollout of new applications and services.
