The new Oracle Licensing Arrangement will provide Tamworth Borough Council with the ability to utilise Oracle Technology site wide.

January 2005 -Serengeti Systems, a key Oracle Partner, and leading provider of integrated document and content management solutions, today announced that it had been selected by Tamworth Borough Council to manage the procurement process for the Council's new site wide Oracle Licensing Arrangement.
The new License will provide Tamworth Borough Council with all the software required to establish a service-orientated information architecture, which can be accessed by all Council employees.
The Oracle Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) is a framework agreement, which has been negotiated between the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) and Oracle to provide the option for all Local Authorities to benefit from significant discounts off all Oracle products.
In particular the agreement provides an opportunity for the Council to license all of the Oracle Technology stack (Database and Application Server) for unlimited use within the Council. The agreement covers all versions and all platforms at no additional cost.
The new License ensures that the Council achieves cost effective Oracle License return on its future spend, with the assistance of Serengeti Systems.
