27 January, 2005 – FrontBridge Technologies Inc. today announced that its suite of message security and management services has been named a finalist for the Best Security Product or Service category in the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) 20th Annual Codie Awards.

The company’s innovative services help corporations mitigate regulatory and legal risk; create an impenetrable perimeter protection against spam and viruses; and, ensure continuous accessibility of email.

“The 20th Annual Codie Awards continue the tradition of honouring the best of the software, content and education technology industries," said Ken Wasch, president of SIIA. "When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement."

This year, the Codie Awards received a record turnout with over 1,000 entries and more than 800 product nominations. FrontBridge was reviewed by a broad panel of judges consisting of industry experts, including Peter Schay, executive VP and chief operating officer of The Advisory Council; Tom Arnold, principal, managing director risk practice of Payment Software Corporation (PSC); and, Robin Bloor, research director of Baroudi Bloor.

The 2005 Codie Awards showcase the software and digital content industry's finest products and services and honour excellence for corporate achievement. This award remains the standard-bearer for celebrating outstanding achievement and provides the only peer recognition program in the software and information industry. The Awards Gala will be held on May 25, 2005 at Universal Studio's Globe Theater in Universal City, Calif.
The Software Publishers Association (SPA), now the SIIA, established the Codie Awards in 1986 to honor pioneers in the then up-and-coming software industry.
