Volantis Takes ‘3GSM Daily’ Mobile for 3GSM 2005

Cannes visitors - and people around the world - will enjoy the latest show news direct from their mobile phones

Guildford, UK – 3rd February 2005: Volantis, the world’s leading supplier of Intelligent Content Adaptation™ solutions and services for the next generation internet, has been selected as the exclusive provider of the mobile service for 3GSM Daily, the official newspaper at 3GSM World Congress, the world’s premier mobile industry event which attracts 28,000 plus visitors, 650 exhibitors and participation from 173 countries.

The service, which can be accessed by any mobile browser and is optimized for each individual’s handset, will run for the duration of the event from the 14th – 17th February and will be an indispensable companion to the world’s biggest mobile show. Attendees – as well as people around the globe - will have access to all the essential news and pictures from this year’s event.

Volantis will design, build and host the service for Informa Telecoms Group, organisers of 3GSM World Congress 2005 and publishers of 3GSM Daily. Features of the 3GSM Daily Mobile News Service include:

The service will use Volantis’ award-winning technology and its Intelligent Content Adaptation™ solution, which dynamically recognises more than 350 attributes of over 1300 devices and generates, in real-time, optimised content for each individual’s handset. This means that layout, text and images are dynamically adapted and precisely formatted for each device being used to access the 3GSM Daily service.

The 3GSM Daily newspaper is the highest profile publication at the 3GSM show, written on site by Mobile Communications International editorial staff and published every day during the event. It is distributed to all World Congress visitors with 10,000 copies printed per day and the mobile service is expected to become a valuable extension to the print and online versions.
