CellClear today announced that it has signed an exclusive deal with specialist IT recruitment company Quo Vadis Technology Ltd. The deal will provide Quo Vadis with a cost effective way to enable its entire operation to achieve lower cost landline to mobile calls by the installation of a GSM Gateway.

Speaking about the deal, Stephen Lawrence, Director of Quo Vadis said: “As a leading IT recruitment company, we have some 70,000 candidates on our books which we place with Blue Chip corporates worldwide. Due to the nature of our business, our consultants spend a large portion of their time on the phone – mainly speaking to candidates on their mobile telephones. As a consequence, our annual telephone bill is a significant part of our outgoings.”

The CellClear GSM Gateway Solution
Today, mobile network operators fix the cost of interconnect charges between each other and fixed line operators – this impacts on the cost of landline to mobile calls because it is a fixed charge levied by the mobile network operators on any call originating on a landline which is terminated on a mobile phone.

While there has been a reduction in the cost of landline calls over the past year, the proportion of landline to mobile calls continues to rocket and the tariffs that apply in passing landline calls across to the mobile networks have provided telecommunications companies with a sizeable revenue stream.

CellClear has developed a solution to reduce the cost of this process. It uses an Enterprise GSM Gateway connected directly to the user organisation’s PBX. The PBX sends calls to the Gateway, which delivers the call via a SIM Card direct to the mobile network. The Gateway effectively ‘converts’ a Landline to Mobile call to a mobile to mobile phone call.
