Friday 25 February 2005 – This year’s CeBIT show will see the official launch of Exclaimer’s latest anti-spam product, Exclaimer 4.0.

Introduced to the marketplace in January of this year, Exclaimer 4.0 has already been hailed a success by its early adopters, due to its incredible blocking rates of up to 99.5%, with equally impressive false positive rates of 0.0001%.

Andrew Millington of Exclaimer commented, “We have undertaken extensive research whilst building Exclaimer 4.0 and have developed a number of unique systems as a result. This product is different to most others as we identify the source of the email by using fingerprinting technology, combined with a detection centre.

As initial feedback has shown, Exclaimer 4.0 is able to tackle the majority of spamming issues that arise and we anticipate extensive take-up during 2005.”

The anti-spam industry has widely commented on the latest spam malware, which was first reported earlier this year. The spike attacks the ISP server and has been met with concern by some anti-spam companies. Due to the processes implemented by Exclaimer and the layer of security provided by the product, Exclaimer 4.0 is able to trap this latest spam spike.

With the rise of spamming, predicted to reach a staggering 95% by next year, businesses across the UK are now looking to invest more heavily in protecting their systems and staff. The spam epidemic is no longer a simple drain on commercial resources as offensive spam is also set to increase, during the month of January, this saw a three-fold increase.
