--Company Moves Into Rapid Growth Phase--

Intelliden, the intelligent networking company, today announced that its Board of Directors has named Alan J. Black as the company’s new president and chief executive officer. In related news, John Gerdelman continues as Intelliden chairman and Dale Hecht, founding Intelliden CEO, assumes responsibility for worldwide business development operations. These strategic moves are the result of months of careful planning and further strengthen the Intelliden executive team as the company moves into its next phase of rapid growth.

Mr. Black is a highly accomplished international business executive with over 20 years of successful experience in building and managing large global technology companies. He was most recently managing director of Openwave Systems Inc.’s European, Middle Eastern and African operations. While at Openwave, Mr. Black also completed financing transactions exceeding $1 billion while serving as senior vice president and chief financial officer through the company’s Initial and Secondary Public Offerings.

“When Intelliden turned cash-flow positive almost one year ago, Dale and the Board began our search for the new chief executive officer who could help take the company to the next level,” said John Gerdelman, Intelliden chairman. “Alan Black is the right person to build on Dale’s award-winning legacy. Alan understands our global business opportunity, knows our products, and has worked with our customers, partners and prospects around the world. We are confident that his energy and business-building experience will drive Intelliden through our next phase of rapid growth.”

“Thanks to the efforts of Dale and everyone on the team, Intelliden stands today as the undisputed leader in the emerging network automation market,” said Alan Black, Intelliden president and CEO. “I am excited to work closely with John, Dale, the Board and the entire Intelliden team to build the world’s most trusted name in the large and growing network automation marketplace.”

“As an Intelliden co-founder, I am thrilled that Alan has joined our team. His appointment is a strong endorsement of our market momentum, our opportunity and our vision,” said Dale Hecht, Intelliden co-founder and vice president of worldwide business development. “Alan has built successful technology businesses, he understands our marketplace, he has extensive Wall Street experience and he has strong relationships with business leaders around the world. This combination of skills makes Alan the perfect person for the job.”

“Alan provided tremendous leadership over Openwave’s relationship with Telefonica,” said Ignacio Camarero, Chief Operating Officer, Telefonica Moviles Espana, S.A.

Founded in April 2000, Intelliden became the first privately held Enterprise Network Configuration vendor and the first privately held Service Management vendor to become cash-flow positive. Recently, the Yankee Group cited Intelliden as a rapidly growing company most likely to reach $100 million in annual revenues.
