The company today announced the appointment of Balaji Bal, chief technology officer and Gerry Gross, executive vice president, sales and partnerships to SurfKitchen’s executive board. Bal and Gross bring a wealth of industry expertise and will help to establish the company as a major global player.
Bal has been with SurfKitchen for over six years. His expertise and vision in mobile internet is well recognised industry-wide and he brings extensive knowledge in e-commerce Internet solutions, 3D programming, virtual reality and animation. SurfKitchen is his second start up, as he founded ScreenSpace in 1996, a Swiss e-commerce consultancy.

Another key appointment, Gerry Gross started his career at Sprint where he championed sales efforts within both the Fortune 500 and carrier markets. Gross has an abundance of global expertise in successful pre-IPO start up ventures including Beenz.com.
Gross has been with SurfKitchen for over three years. He plays an integral role in new customer acquisitions globally, focusing on tier one network operators and content companies. His team is responsible for key customer wins including O2, TIM Greece, TIM Italy, Telefónica Moviles and several Asian operators.
