Intelliden Delivers Netcool® Ready™ Solution

--Leading Provider of Automated Network Solutions Integrates With Micromuse’s Netcool® Suite to Provide Automation of Compliance, Configuration, Security, and Provisioning Tasks--

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., March 15, 2005 – Intelliden Corporation, the intelligent networking company, today announced that the Intelliden R-Series® software suite, which automates the configuration, compliance, provisioning and security of network devices, has been certified by Micromuse as a Netcool® Ready™ solution. The integration with the Netcool suite enhances the Intelliden R-Series’ powerful set of capabilities for monitoring recent IP configurations, conducting real-time interrogations, performing intelligent rollback, and importing and managing new resources.

“The combined solution provides significant benefits for enterprises, service providers and government organizations who are managing large, complex networks,” said Rick Ptak, partner at Ptak, Noel & Associates, a leading IT analyst firm. “Using Micromuse’s Netcool suite and Intelliden together allows organizations to quickly and easily automate end-to-end service management, change management, and configuration management of their network devices. Upon detecting a device problem, the Intelliden R-Series allows the customer to automatically analyze the situation and return devices online.”

Organizations can leverage Intelliden’s granular control of network devices and have direct access to the Intelliden R-Series platform for highly detailed change management. The Intelliden R-Series notifies users, groups and other applications about device and network changes, while identifying who executed changes to the network—where, when and why. Intelliden can bring non-conformant devices back online quickly and restore the network to its last-known good working state. Combined with the Netcool suite, joint customers are able to leverage the abstraction and analysis capabilities provided by Netcool to effectively manage their complex and distributed IT infrastructures.

“Network complexity is a growing issue for most organizations today and a major source of operational inefficiency,” said John Sien, Micromuse’s Vice President, Strategic Alliances. “The combined Netcool suite and Intelliden solution helps simplify operations management by ensuring that the right people are notified about network changes and problems that occur which in turn helps improve application availability and efficient service deployment.”

“Both the Intelliden R-Series and Netcool software align the business with the network for intelligent, dynamic management of adaptive IP infrastructures,” said Chris Turner, Intelliden vice president of sales. “We look forward to bringing the benefits of this Netcool integration to customers everywhere.”
