ORMvision appoints Tony Verbeke as chairman of the board

ORMvision, the business process management software company, today announced the appointment of Tony Verbeke, as chairman of the board. The appointment comes at a time when the company plans to expand its activities in Benelux and Germany, following its successes in 2004 with Cable & Wireless and H3G.

Tony Verbeke has been an independent director of the company for over a year and brings with him 35 years of general management experience, having previously held a number of senior positions at GTE and Siemens. In February 1999 he became CEO of Siemens Atea. He retired from this position in September 2003 and remained active as vice-president of Siemens NV until May 2004.

"Appointing Tony as the company's new chairman of the board is the next logical step for the company seeking to maximise contacts into primarily Benelux and Germany", comments Rudi Severijns, member of the board and executive investment manager at GIMV, one of ORMvision's investors. "Tony has an impressive track record in the ICT industry and more specifically in those regions and has already shown his ability to utilise his experience and extensive network to ensure that we develop and maintain a significant market share."

Phil Church, CEO of ORMvision, adds: "We are delighted to have Tony as our chairman. Our experiences with him over the last year have been excellent and his extensive knowledge of the European telecoms industry in general, together with an impressive range of contacts built up during his distinguished career, will be invaluable to the company in its next phases of growth."

Tony Verbeke, commented: "I am honoured to take up this responsibility at a crucial time for the company. ORMvision has identified a real need within the industry resulting in major wins with Cable & Wireless and H3G in Italy and we need now to leverage this success into other regions, starting with Benelux, which is our home market, and into Germany, a market with huge potential for business process management systems like ours."
