Kingston Communications’ Business Services unit has won Nortel’s* Best Customer Focus Award, 2004. The award acknowledges the ‘extra mile’ that Kingston goes for its customers, which helped it win several large IP-based converged technology customers in 2004, including Warwickshire Police, Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council and Constellation Europe

Gary Young, Business Services’ Managing Director, said: “This success demonstrates our ability to consistently meet customers’ evolving business needs as well as to deliver the highest quality voice and data solutions, based on realistic migration strategies.”

Simultaneously a Nortel Gold Solutions Partner**, Sales Partner, Specialist Support Partner and Developer Partner, last year Kingston was also awarded EMEA Partner of the Year 2003. The company’s convergence offering is part of a wider portfolio including WAN, LAN, contact centre and Internet solutions.

Tony Bailey, VP UK and Ireland Channels at Nortel said: “This award demonstrates Kingston’s continued commitment to the Nortel portfolio and its impressive ability to deliver for customers. The acquisition of Omnetica, forming a unique combination of skills and solutions, will make the new company an even stronger force to be reckoned with in 2005. We’re delighted that they choose to partner with us, and this award recognises the success of that partnership.”

Omnetica has been awarded Nortel’s Partner of the Year and Pan European Partner in previous years.
